Where It All Began

Chef Denise's culinary passion was sparked by her Italian grandparents spending countless hours in her grandmother’s South Philadelphia kitchen. 

 

Denise learned the value of hard work and dedication watching her grandparents run their successful business. 

Denise credits her grandparents for instilling the values of tenacity and determination.

A Dream Simmering for Years

Chef Denise Gesek is a classically trained chef graduating from Johnson & Wales University in Rhode Island. She began her career in Boston working under renowned Chefs Jasper White and Lydia Shire and restaurateur Frank DePasquale. Gesek was further inspired by West Coast culinary influences during her time living in California.

 

She moved back to her roots in South Philadelphia and worked as a Chef in restaurants and hotels across local Philadelphia area.

 

Denise is excited to share her culinary passion with you at Insatiable. Her flavors are a blend inspired by her European travels and endless hours spent in kitchens across the United States.

Insatiable reflects her creative take on European and American classics. It’s all about food for Chef Denise.
